Accuracy: | Method of Collection: By Test Administration Authorities and provided to ACER, who provide to ACARA. Data Adjustments: Raw NAPLAN scores are converted to scaled scores. Sample/Collection size: The collection size is a census of NAPLAN participating years (3,5,7,9). Standard Errors: The standard errors have been used to calculate 95 per cent confidence intervals for all the data provided. Known Issues: Confidence intervals should be considered when ranking jurisdictions. The confidence intervals used to compare jurisdictions within a calendar year are not the same confidence intervals used to compare across calendar years. Year to year change: Caution should be exercised when using the data to measure small changes from year to year; 95 per cent confidence intervals have been provided to the Steering Committee.
