Guide for use: | The Smoking status cluster comprises four data elements that, in combination, determine a person's current smoking status and history of tobacco use. This is achieved by the combination of the four data elements: Person—ever smoked a full cigarette indicator, yes/no/not stated/inadequately described code N; Person—tobacco smoking start age, total years N[NN]; Person—current smoking status indicator, yes/no/not stated/inadequately described code N and Person—tobacco smoking frequency, current tobacco smoking frequency code N.
