Guide for use: | The town or locality name should be collected as stated on a birth certificate, parish record or official document. An English-language form is acceptable, for example Vienna for Wien. International country codes identified by the Australian Bureau of Statistics and in METeOR (see Person—country of birth, code (SACC 2011) NNNN) may also be used, but should include synonyms for commonly misunderstood names of countries such as The Netherlands = Holland and Deutschland = Germany. |
