Guide for use: | The Chronic condition cluster comprises three data elements which allow: 1. Data on the type of chronic condition to be combined with an indicator of whether the prison entrant has ever been told by a doctor or nurse that he or she has the condition. This is achieved by the combination of the two data elements: Person—type of chronic condition, code N and Person—specific chronic condition indicator, yes/no code N. 2. Data on the type of chronic condition to be matched with an indicator of whether the person reports that they currently have the condition. This is achieved by the combination of the two data elements: Person—type of chronic condition, code N and Person—chronic condition indicator, yes/no code N. This combination of the three data elements as shown above allows the following two items to be recorded:
