The date on which provision of housing assistance by an agency was completed, ceased or terminated. This metadata item should always be recorded as an 8 digit valid date comprising day, month and year. Year should always be recorded in its full 4 digit format. For days and months with a numeric value of less than 10, zeros should be used to ensure that the date contains the required 8 digits. For example, if an episode is completed on July 1 2002 date should be recorded as 01072002. Tenancy end date must be related to a particular housing assistance episode. For each separate housing assistance episode a separate date should be recorded. For the public rental housing and state owned and managed Indigenous housing data collections the tenancy end date should be taken from the date specified on the tenancy agreement.
